Laws on drugs

Let's head back to where we lifted off, we were discussing the law on cannabis around the world. It is unbelievable how some countries differ from other countries, so many people, so many opinions ! In 1998 GERMAN law chose to maintain a global and integrated drug policy. Although there is no distinction between hard and soft drugs German law lay their focus on legal drugs. Using drugs is not an offence but posessing drugs is, but in case of a small amount for your own usage the judge hardly prosecutes. The prosecution of cannabis users has the lowest priority since they changed the law on drugs. LUXEMBOURGH works closely with neighboring countries, like Germany their criminal law doesn't make any distiction on hard and softdrugs. Using drugs is seen as disobeying the law but when it is about cannabis they hardley prosecute. Judges and lawyers have the right to recommend blood and urine tests when a drug violation is suspected. Drug users also enjoy impunity when they seek help after or while having an overdose. Allthough i hardly believe someone is sane enough to seek help during the overdose. In Finland all parties are against legalization of drug use. They make no difference between hard or soft drugs, they just say a big no to everything to do with drugs. The police have extensive powers for the purpose of drugs. For all drug prosecutors and judges to refrain from prosecution or conviction if the offender voluntarily undergoes treatment.
